Baby food...one of the
conveniences of living in 2008, right? So I went to the store today and decided I'd stock up on baby food. I bought 100 jars. When I was putting the jars on the checkout belt, I saw the checkers eyes glance over at my pile. At that moment I realized she probably wasn't too excited to scan 100 jars of baby food so I explained I had twins and I wanted to stock up. I wasn't expecting her follow up comment to mine. She said, "Isn't it a lot cheaper to make your own baby food?". In my mind I was screaming, "Are you crazy lady...as if I don't have enough things to do"...but I didn't. I simply said, "Yea, I g
uess it would be". It was her next comment that took the cake...she said, "Wow, you spent over $50.00 on baby food". Some nerve!

My sis. Laura took this picture of Ty...

and this picture of Crew.

Chase and Faith celebrated the last day of school by staying up and playing the

Hartzmann. She is such a great teacher. Faith had a great year.

Kirk and I told the kids they could have a lemonade and cookie stand last Saturday. A few days before, Faith decided she'd prepare by doing a mock lemonade stand in our house. She got the table, lemonade, cups, and ice. When Saturday came, she pulled the stuff out again...except on the corner outside. She and the kids made $12.00. They couldn't have been more excited.

Faith and her friend...thanks for the picture Laura.

Fun pictures! Loved the baby food story. I think I tried to make my own ONCE! So wasn't me. But the beauty of living over here is that no one speaks to me so I don't have to deal with anyone making weird comments to me. Actually I do miss that. I'll go a whole week only talking to my family. So be thankful even though she was kind of rude. LOL.
Are you serious, make your own, save money baby food. Who has time for that, isn't that why we have the modern convenience a grocery store? You should have told her, 'I'm not a pioneer'. That might have shocked her, maybe not. However, she does have nerve.
Funny thing, you will fly through those 100 bottles of baby food, lickity split. Then you can make the trek back and hopefully have another encounter with her. hehehe
I would rather spend 50 dollars anyday than have to clean up one more mess.
When is kirk headed to Mesquite? We just got back. We spent a million dollars at Disneyland and stopped in Mesquite on the way back and realized my kids were probably having just as much fun. I hope you get to go with Kirk, They have an awesome spa.
$50? Does she never spend $50 on her own groceries? Someone mean would have said, "That must be a lot for a checker at a grocery store." But I'm sure you were nothing but nice.
P.S. Did Faith punch her friend in the eye?
It is so fun to drop in and see how things are going for you. I'm so greatful you do this. I love to see life in Boise.
Thinking about you!
