Being Refined...

As I was in and out of church today, I managed to hear this quote...I think it was meant for me to hear...

"Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what he is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, adding on courtyards. You thought you were being made into a descent little cottage: but He is building a palace."

Positive Thoughts...

I've been trying to think of positive thoughts lately...so here are a few I've thought of:

-March is only a week and a half away...Spring will be here soon
-I love my kids and husband and they're all healthy, happy and safe
-I love my neighborhood...my neighbors are so thoughtful
-My family lives close and they are always there for me
-I'm grateful for the things I've learned by going through some of my darkest days
