First day of school

Chase and Faith started school this past Friday. Here they are right before they left.

Faith is wearing her new Hannah Montana outfit we got at Walmart a few days prior. I told her I would take her shopping so she could pick out a few new outfits. I had planned to take her somewhere like the Gap...but while we were shopping for school supplies she saw this outfit calling her name. She wore it the first day of school along w/the whole weekend and put it on the washer last night for me to wash so she could wear it again to school on Monday. There was no talking her out of rotating it w/some of her other clothes. Chase is wearing some clothes from the summer...he's easy to please.

Katy "The Coolest"

So, my kids have an obsession with my friend Katy. Katy is an old roommate of mine who works at the Bean Museum at BYU. Last month we decided to take a trip to BYU's campus and pay Katy a visit. "She's so funny, cool and has the awesomest animals mom", says Chase. And Faith asks, "When are we going to see Katy again mom?" So, there you go, Katy's the coolest! Thank you my friend for taking the time to show us the animals, etc.

Chase and Faith checking out the snake.

And Chase wearing a snake.

Now Kirk wearing the snake...w/an unnatural, "get this snake off me" look.

I think this a lizard.

Our niece Lily participating in the animal lovin'.

Kirk and the tarantula.

Chase, with his favorite person to his right (Katy the coolest) and the tarantula he couldn't wait to hold.

Chase enjoying the hairy spider...and the kid can't sleep w/o a light on at night (the bright overhead light). Hmmmm.

Faith getting in on the action.

Family

Last month we took a Lagoon trip w/Kirk's family and some of mine. It was so very fun to see everyone and ride some fun rides. I later found out my sister Tara took Chase and Faith on the new ride Wicked...and they willingly went. Um, I didn't dare go on it...it's scary. When you're a kid there isn't anything much better than a trip to an amusement park!

Here's Kirk w/the babies and our niece Marissa, his cousin Mark and his daughter McKenna. I hope I spelled everyone's name right.
We also took a trip to Twin Falls for the Twin Falls Temple open house. We felt it would be good for the kids to be able to see what a temple looked like from the inside. They were pretty impressed.

So, here are Kirk, the babies and me in front of the temple. Unfortunately it's not in focus...which is why I didn't bother rotating it. I suppose I just wanted to share that we were there. Better luck next time Mom on the pic. taking. Laura might have a few pointers.

Here we are in front of Shoshone Falls...which is really quite pretty.

The kids overlooking the falls.

After a year...

After being in our house a year now, I've finally gotten around to hanging up some pictures. My walls are no longer bare. I couldn't help but sharing. Thanks mom for lending a helping hand (she's a pro at picture hanging).

And of course, thanks to Laura for the AWESOME pictures. I think it's safe to say every picture in my house was taken by her! Check out the storyboard she did...cool, huh!
