One year later...

Here are Ty and Crew anticipating digging into their cakes. (Kirk is holding Ty, I've got Crew).
Ty grabbed a fist full first. He wasn't sure what to think. Crew started out apprehensive...

...but went great guns soon after.

Here's Faith helping open a gift. Like Chase and Faith when they were babies, Ty and Crew liked the wrapping paper and box more than the present.

The older kids had fun jumping on some bubble wrap.

Last week

Faith had her first soccer game this last Saturday. This is her first season with all girls. She happens to be one of the youngest on her team...and, according to her, the fastest. She scored a goal after several attempts. This is also the first year there have been goalies. (Faith is the one closest to the ball w/the ponytail).

Here she is again going after the steal.

Here is one of our vents. Need I say more.

Chase was awarded his Wolf badge for scouts. We are proud of Chase! On to earning his Bear. My hair is hiding the little pin the moms get each time their son earns an award. These pins are well deserved, if I do say so myself. (Chase's football team won last Saturday. Their game this week is in Sun Valley. I'm finding out this football stuff is serious business).

Update

So my sister says I don't update my blog very often...I know. The only time I have found that I can really sit down and be on the computer for an extended period of time is when all the kids are in bed. And you all know how precious that time is! I decided tonight to put off cleaning the kitchen and post some pictures so you can see what we've been up to lately. In an effort to save time posting on my blog, I haven't edited my pic.'s or cropped them. For some reason, those small things seem to take much longer than they should.

Our neighborhood pool finally opened the day before school started. Yes, great timing. This hasn't stopped the kids from going swimming at least every other day...even when it's not hot out. They claim the pool water is SO warm. Um, I've felt it and I beg to differ. There is something very exciting about swimming in a pool!

Chase and Faith love to put Ty and Crew in the toy basket and run down the hallway w/them. It's fun to see all 4 kids laughing at the same time.

Chase is in tackle football this year. He is on a team w/all his friends. His coach lives down the street and is a good friend of ours. His first game they lost 26-20. This is after his second game (they lost 12-6) w/his cousins Mason and Bo who came to watch. Chase is hopeful they'll win the next game this Saturday. Go Bulldogs...hear the bark, feel the bite!!!

Faith is always trying to sell something in order to make money. She even tries to sell Kirk and me some of our own things. Faith said she wanted to have a cookie stand last Saturday at Chase's football game. Here she is w/some of the neighborhood friends (who were trying to figure out how they could get a cut of the profits...don't worry, Faith held her own). She ended up making $19.00. She wasn't too happy to cough up $5.00 for cookie ingredients.

Faith frequently clicks away on my camera. Here's a cute pic. she took of the babies and my mom. Ty likes to snuggle and Crew likes to move.

Our neighbor gave us a Leapfrog table toy. As you can see, Crew likes to climb on top of it. He also recently figured out how to climb out of the super saucer...I also found him in Chase's desk drawer stuck and unable to get out.

For some reason both Ty and Crew like to hang out by the stools. Ty will stand up to them and...

Crew likes to try to crawl through them. Why do babies like to try to fit through things that aren't easy to fit through?

We are all excited, some more than others, that Crew is walking! Faith shot this pic. of Crew taking a few steps (sorry it's out of focus). When he walks he always has his mouth open. He LOVES to walk.

First day of school

Chase and Faith started school this past Friday. Here they are right before they left.

Faith is wearing her new Hannah Montana outfit we got at Walmart a few days prior. I told her I would take her shopping so she could pick out a few new outfits. I had planned to take her somewhere like the Gap...but while we were shopping for school supplies she saw this outfit calling her name. She wore it the first day of school along w/the whole weekend and put it on the washer last night for me to wash so she could wear it again to school on Monday. There was no talking her out of rotating it w/some of her other clothes. Chase is wearing some clothes from the summer...he's easy to please.

Katy "The Coolest"

So, my kids have an obsession with my friend Katy. Katy is an old roommate of mine who works at the Bean Museum at BYU. Last month we decided to take a trip to BYU's campus and pay Katy a visit. "She's so funny, cool and has the awesomest animals mom", says Chase. And Faith asks, "When are we going to see Katy again mom?" So, there you go, Katy's the coolest! Thank you my friend for taking the time to show us the animals, etc.

Chase and Faith checking out the snake.

And Chase wearing a snake.

Now Kirk wearing the snake...w/an unnatural, "get this snake off me" look.

I think this a lizard.

Our niece Lily participating in the animal lovin'.

Kirk and the tarantula.

Chase, with his favorite person to his right (Katy the coolest) and the tarantula he couldn't wait to hold.

Chase enjoying the hairy spider...and the kid can't sleep w/o a light on at night (the bright overhead light). Hmmmm.

Faith getting in on the action.

Family

Last month we took a Lagoon trip w/Kirk's family and some of mine. It was so very fun to see everyone and ride some fun rides. I later found out my sister Tara took Chase and Faith on the new ride Wicked...and they willingly went. Um, I didn't dare go on it...it's scary. When you're a kid there isn't anything much better than a trip to an amusement park!

Here's Kirk w/the babies and our niece Marissa, his cousin Mark and his daughter McKenna. I hope I spelled everyone's name right.
We also took a trip to Twin Falls for the Twin Falls Temple open house. We felt it would be good for the kids to be able to see what a temple looked like from the inside. They were pretty impressed.

So, here are Kirk, the babies and me in front of the temple. Unfortunately it's not in focus...which is why I didn't bother rotating it. I suppose I just wanted to share that we were there. Better luck next time Mom on the pic. taking. Laura might have a few pointers.

Here we are in front of Shoshone Falls...which is really quite pretty.

The kids overlooking the falls.

After a year...

After being in our house a year now, I've finally gotten around to hanging up some pictures. My walls are no longer bare. I couldn't help but sharing. Thanks mom for lending a helping hand (she's a pro at picture hanging).

And of course, thanks to Laura for the AWESOME pictures. I think it's safe to say every picture in my house was taken by her! Check out the storyboard she did...cool, huh!
